Neptunian Dream by Helena Pneuma Kaeris

Winter 2021

Published Issue 096, December 2021

Heavy we sit; tossed by the waves

The night cries; our hearts are wide

Wherever does this lead

We’ve floated so far; through chimeras, shadows

My lonely heart

Who will be there on the other side

Where our maddened minds shatter to mist

Where your silence soothes us

Your tenderness ferries us out of the dark Into the Light

To our new home

Our new world

To spring Light

About Helena:

I consider myself a life artist or artist of life. I’m a self-taught acrylic painter currently living in Denver, Colorado with my partner and our three shared children. Painting has been an anchor for me during this pandemic with all the global changes and uncertainty. I use painting as a pallet for my subconscious expression and normally allow my work to emerge, rather than planning in advance where it will go. All my paintings have a story to tell and when they are all placed together, they tell a full story involving the workings of my heart. See more by Helena on Instagram.
